Mina M. (Yonkman) Hollar's Obituary
Mrs. Mina M. (Yonkman) Hollar, age 83, passed away Monday evening, May 2, 2005. Mrs. Hollar was born on May 5, 1921 to John and Hattie (Postema) Veeneman in Coopersville, MI. She was a member of Calvary Church and former member of Fifth Reformed Church. Mrs. Hollar had worked as a beautician and owned a beauty shop prior to her retirement in 1980. She had a love for playing cards. On November 26, 1938 she married Albert C. Yonkman, and he preceded her in death on April 29, 1979. She then married Nick Hollar on November 1, 1986 in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on October 13, 2004. SURVIVORS include 3 sons, Roger (Barb) Yonkman of Muskegon, Robert (Debra) Yonkman of Montague, Alan (Nancy) Yonkman of Canton, MI; 2 daughters, Judy Helmus of Thornton, CO and Charlene Wolffis of Grand Haven; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Howard (Donna) Veeneman; 3 sisters-in-law; Gertrude Veeneman, Dolores (Ray) Frazier, and Evelyn (Dale) Lowder. Mrs. Hollar was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Melvin, Hert and Bernard, 1 sister, Edna Mae and 1 sister-in-law, Ann Jefferson. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Friday at Fifth Reformed Church, (2330 Holton Rd.) with Pastor Norman Swier officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 and 6-8 Thursday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 726-5210. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to Hackley VNS - Hospice or Fifth Reformed Church would be appreciated. Burial will take place at Restlawn Cemetery.
