Minnie "Ruth" Hood's Obituary
Minnie “Ruth” Hood, age 92, passed away December 5, 2018. She was born September 15, 1926, in Leann, MO to William and Dema (Springer) Thomas. On July 1, 1950, she married James M. Hood and he preceded her in death on February 3, 1995. Ruth enjoyed reading, spending time with family, traveling, and doing needlework. SURVIVORS include 2 daughters: Paula (James) Rahe of Norton Shores, Linda Hood of Muskegon; granddaughter, Ann Marie (Dan) Love; great-grandchildren: Joshua James Love and Henry Galen Love; sister, Elsie Schmitter of Lakeland, FL; nieces, nephews and their families. She was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Galen Joseph Sanborn; brothers: Marvin and Morris Thomas. A Celebration of Ruth’s Life will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint, MI. MEMORIALS to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.
