Mitchell L. "Mike" Berryhill's Obituary
Mitchell L. “Mike” Berryhill, age 76, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at home. He was born on August 28, 1945 to Lyle and Lillian (Palmer) Berryhill in Muskegon, MI. Mike was a dedicated employee working at both Eberhard and Plumbs for 36 years as a meat cutter before retiring in 2009. On October 5, 1968, he married the love of his life, the former Gayl Gabris in Muskegon, MI. Together they cherished 53 years of love, laughter and witty banter. Mike was an avid Michigan sports fan and enjoyed rooting for his Tigers, Lions and U of M Wolverines! He was also an avid golfer and bowled for the Eagles. Mike enjoyed pushing his luck playing slots at the casino. He did take pleasure in the simple thing’s life had to offer as well, such as soaking up the lake life from his deck. He was well known in the community and was what many would call a people person. Mike was always willing to go out of his way for others and truly enjoyed filling a room with laughter. His quick-witted and tender-loving spirit will truly be missed. He will always be remembered as being everyone’s best friend! He is survived by his loving wife, Gayl Berryhill; 2 daughters, Amie (Bernard) Bakos and Micah Berryhill; brother, Ken (Ginnie) Berryhill; and sister-in-law, Grace Berryhill. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Berryhill; 2 sisters, Penny (Fred) Young and Gail (Dan) Sonnenberg.
