Mr. Mitchell Lee Morrison's Obituary
Mitchell Lee Morrison, age 55, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, October 17, 2017, at an area hospital. Mitch was born April 28, 1962 to Leo and Alice Marie (Riggs) Morrison in Muskegon. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Mitch had worked as a trucker for a number of years before becoming disabled. Prior to that, he had worked at Grand Haven Brass where he had served as the Union Steward. Mitch was a tinkerer and loved working on cars. He also enjoyed hunting and watching the Michigan Wolverines play football. He loved his family and is survived by his children, Tabatha Lee Morrison of Twin Lake, Amanda Bickford of Fruitland Township, Corey Mitchell Bickford of Grand Rapids, Benjamin Lee Morrison of Norton Shores; stepson, Christopher M. (Kory) Bickford of Muskegon; grandchildren, Antonio D. Lewis II, Divine U. Lewis, Quran L. Lewis, Livinia J. Peoples, Bradon M. Bickford, Osh-Eona M. Webb and Jasmine S. Graves; his lifelong companion, Renae Gail Bickford; 2 brothers; 1 sister; and several nieces and nephews. Mitch was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11 AM Monday, October 23, 2017 at The Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Ave., 231-726-5210, with Rev. John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION will be from 2-5 pm Sunday afternoon, October 22. INTERMENT will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to NOAH Project.
