Mrs. Mollie E. Repta's Obituary
Mrs. Mollie E. Repta, 93, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021, in Spring Lake. She was born December 31, 1927 to John and Elizabeth (Mertens) Goebel in Ravenna, and moved to the Muskegon area in 1944. Mollie was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, baking, having her own catering business, and watching Tiger’s baseball. On October 23, 1948, she married John Repta, and he preceded her in death on January 12, 2014. Survivors include her two children: Michael (Debi) Repta and Mary Paparella; 4 grandchildren: John Repta, Lesa (Justin) Kladder, Nicole (Bob) Paschall, Megan Paparella; great-grandchildren: Elouise, Blaine, Ari, and soon to be with us great-granddaughter; 1 sister: Josephine (Jody) Gubach; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister Lorraine Minzey. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be one hour prior to mass at church. Interment will take place at Mona View Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Repta may be made to Hospice of N. Ottawa. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442.
