Molly Ann DeLong's Obituary
Molly Ann DeLong, age 75, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022 in Muskegon. She was born July 17, 1947 in Muskegon to George D. and Jane (Turner) Green and was a lifelong resident. Molly was a proud graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central High School Class of 1965. She married Robert E. “Bob” DeLong on June 8, 1968 in Muskegon. Prior to retirement, Molly worked as a teacher’s aide for St. Francis Elementary School and later worked for Jackson-Merkey Contractors, Inc. She was a longtime member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church where she served as a eucharistic minister. Molly was also very active supporting Muskegon Catholic Schools where she served many years as Co-Chairperson for the Annual Rainbow Auction and for many years as a Costume Lady and Director for the Muskegon Catholic Central Theater Department. Survivors include her husband, Bob DeLong; 3 children, Jennifer (Robert) Brown, Brian (Krista) DeLong, Tom DeLong; 5 grandchildren, Evan and Carly Brown, Jack, Grace and Charlotte DeLong. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Joseph DeLong. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, October 1, 2022 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (2929 McCracken St.) with Rev. Charles D. Hall presiding. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Friday at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Memorial Contributions may be directed to Muskegon Catholic Central Theater Department.
