Molly Marie Jungslager's Obituary
Molly Marie (Kinkema) Jungslager, age 82, of Spring Lake, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018, surrounded by her loving caring family. She was a very caring, selfless, wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and fabulous friend. She enjoyed spending time with Evert, her husband and best friend of 59 years.
She loved the Lord with all her heart. She loved sitting outside viewing her flower gardens and the wildlife in their backyard oasis. Music, playing piano, journaling and reading were also great joys.
She was valedictorian of Grand Haven High School class of 1954. She played saxophone in the marching band and continued on when she attended University of Michigan where she studied pre-med. She took great pride in her Krueger – Kinkema heritage.
Molly also did, in home daycare for over 30 years. She didn’t just raise six girls, she also raised a small community. She took care of everyone else before she took care of herself.
Her Thursday mornings were spent with her breakfast club (brother, sister-in-law and cousins.) Friday nights were filled with playing cards and games with family.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Evert Jungslager of Spring Lake; six daughters: Donna (Brian) Swinehart of Muskegon, Jane (Stephan) Raymo of Westbrook, Maine, Amy (Michael) Hendrickson of Spring Lake, Lisa (Ritchie) Olsen of Nunica, Laura (Ronald) Hickey of Clarkston, MI, and Marie (Ronald) Vollmer of Chelsea, MI; 17 grandchildren: Jeremy (Lynnette) Swineheart, Bradley (Kimberly Stark) Swineheart, Molly Raymo, Colin Hendrickson, Quin Hendrickson, Shannon (Chris) Monday, Alissa Olsen, Zachary (Sarah Parker) Clark, Noah Clark, Emily Olsen, Danielle Thurman, Brenton Thurman, Aidan Hickey, Wilhelmina Francisco, Lilian Francisco, Delanie Vollmer and Els Vollmer; 5 great-grandchildren: Emersen & Nathan Swineheart, Jensen Clark, Lucas & Lily Monday; her brother, Edward (Lynne) Kinkema of Grand Haven; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Ruth Carol Brown and Madeline Marie Happel.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Spring Lake Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dan Anderson officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at church. The family is being served by Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services – the Spring Lake Chapel.
