Mrs. Monika Katrin Voss' Obituary
Mrs. Monika Katrin Voss, age 73, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 27, 2015 at her home in Norton Shores, MI. She was born in Gablonz, Czechoslovakia on September 16, 1941 to Heinrich and Magdalena (Roschentaler) Sprinz. At the age of 23, Monika traveled to the United States to visit with friends. While in Muskegon, she met and fell in love with her husband of 50 years, Richard Lee Voss. They were married on July 3, 1964. Monika worked as a waitress at the Sirloin and the Bavarian Inn before her retirement. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Monika loved animals and enjoyed feeding the birds, squirrels and chipmunks in her backyard. Mostly, Monika loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Richard Lee Voss; three sons, Richard L. (Traci) Voss, Jr. of Cora, Wyoming, Randy A. Voss of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and Ronald J. (Jan) Voss of Muskegon; seven grandchildren, Kristin, Dante, Caleb, Jared, Josiah, Shelby and Brandon; one sister, Christa Wacker of Germany and many nieces and nephews from Germany and the United States. She was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Toni N. Voss; one grandson, Isaiah Voss and one sister, Dora. Her MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Antony Britto presiding. VISITATION will be from 6-8 PM Monday, April 6, 2015 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIALS in Monika’s name may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
