Morris A. "Morry" Younts' Obituary
Morris A. “Morry” Younts, age 88, passed away Friday, September 27, 2019. He was born December 3, 1930 in Muskegon to Dewey and Vera (Briggs) Younts. Morry was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in Saudi Arabia during the Korean War. On August 11, 1951, he married Marjorie A. Schutter in Muskegon. In 1965, he founded Consolidated Vendors Corporation which he operated until his retirement in 1991. Morry had attended Forest Park Covenant Church and Maranatha Bible & Missionary Conference Center. He served on the board for Youth for Christ. Morry enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Muskegon Country Club. He also enjoyed boating, motorcycles and snowmobiles. He was a deer hunter and enjoyed his trips to Montana for hunting. Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Marjorie Younts; 3 children, Mike (Mary) Younts, Mark (Kathy) Younts, Mindy (Mike) Kelner; 8 grandchildren, Michael (Amy) Younts Jr., Kristie Melcher, Kimberly (Rob) Berkie, Lindsay (George) Mueller, Jeff (Stefanie) Younts, Anne (Will) McGahan, David (Danielle) Kelner, Katie (Peter) Zietler; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Dewey (Dorothy) Younts; and 1 sister-in-law, Helen Younts. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Jack Younts. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, October 7, 2019 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444 with Pastor Ron Mansdoerfer officiating. Military Honors will be offered by the Muskegon County Council of Veterans. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, 10-11 AM Monday.
