Mr. Calvin L. Mahan, Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Calvin L. Mahan, Jr., age 74, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at a local hospital. He was born in Muskegon on February 21, 1935 to Rev. Calvin L. and Emily (Shimmel) Mahan, Sr. and was a life resident of the area. Prior to his retirement Calvin worked for SPX Corporation, Hi-Lift Division. Calvin loved fishing, hunting, and always had a dozen projects that had to get done today. He was a member of Black Creek Bible Church. Calvin is survived by his wife, Edith M. Mahan; 2 sons, Joe (Cindy) Mahan, Robert (Kris) Mahan; 1 daughter, Ann (Dale) Mahan-McAllister; 2 loving granddaughters, Callie Jo and Allison; and 2 sisters, Carol (Jerry) Witt and Joyce Marshall. Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter, Michelle “Shelly” Mahan; 2 brothers, Raymond Mahan and William Himmelberger and 1 sister, Virginia Hart. SERVICES will be 2:30 PM Friday at
