Mr. Dale Terry Allen's Obituary
Mr. Dale Allen, age 71, passed away Thursday morning, August 11, 2011, at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. Dale was born March 11, 1940 to Harold and Elizabeth (Petes) Allen . Dale served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from Dana Corporation (Sealed Power) in 2002 after more than 37 years of service. Prior to that, he worked a short time for Campbell, Wyatt and Cannon. Dale was a member of the U.A.W. Local #637 and the Polish Union. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and NASCAR. Dale is survived by his 2 children, Wendy (Donn) Little and Shawn (Pam) Allen, all of Muskegon; his girlfriend and caregiver, Kelly Shawl; 4 grandchildren, Kaleb Olson, Michael Little, Sydnee Little, and Kile Allen; his former wife, Sharon Allen; 2 sisters- in- law, Joan Allen and Carolyn Allen; several nieces and nephews; and many good friends. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Betty Allen and Doris Bridges; 2 brothers, Almon and Jack Allen; as well as his parents. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Monday August 15, 2011 at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Pastor John Brown officiating. VISITATION will be Sunday afternoon from 2-5PM. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the Kelly Shawl fund c/o Family Financial Credit Union or to the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence.
