Mr. Daniel L. Smith's Obituary
Mr. Daniel Lee Smith, age 24, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 10, 2009. He was born in Muskegon on January 21, 1985 to Lee Plant and Karen Smith. Dan was a graduate of Muskegon High School, Muskegon Community College and was currently finishing his final year at Grand Valley State University where he was studying to become an economics and social studies teacher. He was an avid sports fan and seldom missed a Muskegon Big Reds game, whether it was rain or snow, you could always find Dan in the stands with his fiancée Becky beside him. He also enjoyed coaching sports and was currently the assistant basketball coach at Allendale High School. He was a member of the Muskegon Masons and attended Fellowship Reformed Church. Dan was engaged to be married to the love of his life, Becky Simmons, on August 21, 2010, and she survives him along with his parents, Lee Plant and Karen Smith; his sister, Rose Smith; his nephew, Payton Lee Smith; his future parents-in-law, Steve and Judy Simmons; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his 4 grandparents. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 2PM Monday at
