Mr. Edwin Allen "Eddie" Wittkopp's Obituary
Mr. Edwin Allen “Eddie” Wittkopp, age 65, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2010 in Muskegon. He was born on July 15, 1945 in Muskegon to Bernard E. and Alice N. (Paulson) Wittkopp and was a life resident of the area. Eddie had attended Muskegon High School and was injured in a football game at the age of 16 that consequently disabled him for the remainder of his life. However, he didn’t let his physical disabilities get him down. He was a resident of Brookhaven Care Facility and was known by all the residents and guests. Eddie always had a smile on his face and wanted to shake your hand and share a conversation. He enjoyed attending church services at Brookhaven and was an avid Yathzee and Checkers player. Eddies family would like to thank the Muskegon Big Reds Football Team for the many years of support, visits and memorabilia they provided to Eddie; and a special thanks to all the others that came to visit Eddie over the years. He is survived by his 3 brothers, Wally (Faye) Wittkopp, Bing Wittkopp, Rodney (Sandy) Wittkopp and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and special cousin, Barb Flanary. VISITATION will be from 4:00 – 6:00PM Thursday at
The Walburn Chapel
Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.

with a PRAYER SERVICE held at 5:30PM. INTERMENT will be in Lakeside Cemetery. MEMORIALS in Eddy’s name may be made to VNS Hospice.
