Mr. George A. Genson "Papa"'s Obituary
Mr. George A. “Papa” Genson, age 101, passed away Friday, May 25, 2007. He was born in Buffalo, NY on July 30, 1905 to Freeman and Joanne Genson and had lived in the Muskegon area for most of his life. He had been employed by Norge Manufacturing for 32 years. Papa belonged to South Ensley United Methodist Church of Sand Lake and was a member of the Local U.A.W. He enjoyed fishing, baking, and traveling with his wife of 67 years, the former Ruth Bell. Papa is survived by 1 daughter, Norma Montambo; 2 grandchildren, Joseph (Karna) Montambo and Sunday (Robert) Evans; 7 great-grandchildren; 13 ½ great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; 2 sons; George and Leslie Genson; his parents; 4 sisters and 1 brother. SERVICES: 2PM Wednesday at Fellowship Reformed Church with Rev. Greg VanderMeer officiating. VISITATION: 12 Noon to 2PM Wednesday at church. INTERMENT: Mona View Cemetery. MEMORIALS: South Ensley UMC. Arrangements by
