Mr. James Medema's Obituary
Mr. James Medema, age 81, passed away Tuesday morning, August 30, 2005. He was born in Muskegon on April 15, 1924 to Ralph and Grace (Hoekenga) Medema, and was a life resident. Mr. Medema was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in WWII. He had worked for Jays Food before retiring in 1986. Mr. Medema attended Hope Reformed Church. He loved to watch his only grandson play football for Orchard View, and enjoyed watching University of Michigan Football. Mr. Medema spent many hours building his cottage, and enjoyed working on it after it was built. He also enjoyed fishing and bowling. On April 25, 1947, James married the former Donna Fouts and she survives him along with 3 daughters, Connie (Joseph) Gawron, Sandra (Barney) Goodrich and Debra (Carl) Annessa; 6 grandchildren, Crista Gawron, Sara and Steven Goodrich, Carlie, Jamie and Katie Annessa; 1 brother, Clarence (Ilene) Medema and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, John, Peter, and Ralph Medema and 1 sister, Sarah Medema. SERVICES will be 11AM Saturday at
