Mr. James Seagraves' Obituary
Mr. James “Jake” Seagraves, age 85, passed away Friday morning, July 23, 2010 in Muskegon. He was born in Walnut Ridge, AR on July 28, 1924 to Perry and Clara (Hinkle) Seagraves and had lived in the Muskegon area for the past 63 years. Mr. Seagraves was a veteran of the United States Army and served in WWII. He had worked as a Superintendant of Assembly at Teledyne Continental Motors for 47 years before retiring. Mr. Seagraves loved his family and loved sports; especially baseball and golf. On October 23, 1947, he married the former Jean Kincade and she survives him along with two sons, David (Louise) Seagraves and Kevin (Rose) Seagraves; 4 grandchildren, Don Seagraves, Jeff (Jamie) Seagraves, Samantha Seagraves and Jared Seagraves; 2 great-grandchildren, Madeline and Brody; 3 sisters, Dorothy (Lewis) Hollans, Marcia (Pete) Wilson and Marnelle (Ray) Wolfe and 1 brother, Lavelle (Maurine) Seagraves. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister, Christine Lombard and 1 brother, Johnny Carroll Seagraves. SERVICES for Mr. Seagraves will be PRIVATE. Military rites under the auspices of the Muskegon County Council will be performed. INTERMENT will be in Norton Cemetery. MEMORIALS to Harbor Hospice-Poppen Residence would be appreciated.
