Mr. Jewell S. Miller's Obituary
Mr. Jewell Stacy Miller, age 90, passed away Friday, October 24, 2008 at a local care facility in Muskegon. He was born in Tiskilwa, IL on August 23, 1918 to Ray E. and Bertha M. (Sarver) Miller. Jewell had been employed as a printer at Shaw Walker for 39 years before his retirement in 1982. He attended Wolf Lake Baptist Church. On November 28, 1945, Jewell married the former Goldie Marie Culler and she survives him along with 5 children, Barbara J. (Richard) Valencourt of Ypsilanti, MI, Gerald L. (Bonnie Jepson) Miller, Jewell Eugene “Gene” (Carol) Miller, Ellen L. (Mike) Lautenschleger, and Thomas D. (Joann) Miller all of Muskegon; 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Gladys (Foster) Dunham of White Cloud, MI and Ruth Crantrell of Moline, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. SERVICES will be 11 AM Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. (231) 726-5210 with Rev. Burt C. Wachter officiating. VISITATION will be from 4-7PM Tuesday. INTERMENT will be in Big Prairie Everett Cemetery. MEMORIALS in Mr. Miller’s name may be made to Hospice of North Ottawa or Wolf Lake Baptist Church.
