Family/Relatives of Arthur E. Payne. I attended the services for "Art," and when opportunity was given for comments, I chose not to stand and speak, fearing it may cause some slight confusion. I am the iterim pator of the Church of the Brethren and Art and Pauline, where members here before my coming,and Art came back a couple or 3 years ago. He was attending COB prior to his death. We ministered to him during his illness and while he was in the Nursing Home, however, that is unimportant. I just wanted you to know that he was a very special person to me. We were both WWII Navy vets. We shared our times and never, never, did I see him without a smile or, laugh on his face, regardless of his physical condition. I truly will miss him. Uncle Joe is Safely Home....
