Mr. LaVern V. Tibbitts' Obituary
Mr. LaVern V. Tibbitts, age 75, passed away Sunday morning, April 16, 2006 in Muskegon. He was born in Hart, MI on January 18, 1931 to Orpheus and Ruth (Monroe) Tibbitts. Mr. Tibbitts was a Veteran of the United States Air force and had been employed by Shaw Box Crane. After his retirement, LaVern and his wife, Mary Lou, enjoyed making wooden toys that they would sell at art fairs. On July 13, 1954, he married the former Mary Lou Thorson and she survives him along with 3 daughters, Mary Margaret (Robert) Strong, LuAnn Tibbitts, Rochelle (Casey) Vaandering of Twin Lake; 6 grandchildren, Andy, Andrea, Alicia, Elizabeth, Robert, Daniel; 1 great-granddaughter, Katie; 2 brothers, Max Tibbitts of Hart, Don Tibbitts of Mears and 1 sister, Donna (Dave) Morgan of Hart. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Cleo and Carl and 2 sisters, Ruth and Nancy. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 1PM Thursday at
