Mr. Leonard Joseph Schaub's Obituary
Mr. Leonard Joseph Schaub, age 88, passed away Friday evening, September 28, 2007 at his home in North Muskegon. He was born in Suttons Bay, MI on June 24, 1919 to Edmond and Selina (Plomondan) Schaub and had been a resident of Muskegon for over 60 years. Mr. Schaub was a Veteran of the United States Air Corp and had served in WWII. He retired in 1982 from Teledyne Continental Motors after 42 years of employment. Mr. Schaub was a communicant member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church where he was involved in the original construction of the church, was involved with church dinners, and was a member of the usher’s club. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans #13 and a former member of the Muskegon Heights Eagles. Mr. Schaub enjoyed fishing, ice fishing, hunting, gardening, and puttering around the woods. On May 3, 1947, he married the former Margaret “Marge” Korson and she survives him along with 6 children, Marilyn (Gary) Keller, Ruth Ann Johnson, Kenneth (Mary) Schaub, Samuel (Dianna) Schaub, Gregory (Shelley) Schaub and Michelle (Brian) Bowen; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Robert (Josephine) Schaub and Frederick (Helena) Schaub; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 daughter, Patricia Schaub; 3 sisters, Louise Flaska, Marceline Geno and Minnie Schaub; and 7 brothers, Leo, Willard, Ernest, Phillip, Lloyd, Clifford, and Edmund Schaub. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held at 11AM Tuesday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Robert A. Hart presiding. VISITATION will be from 2-4PM & 6-8PM Monday at
