Mr. Lowell M. Tambling's Obituary
Mr. Lowell M. Tambling, age 86, passed away Thursday morning, June 22, 2006 at his home in Norton Shores. He was born in Hart, MI on December 4, 1919, graduated from Hart High School in 1938, and then resided in the Muskegon area. He and his wife had wintered in Ft. Meyers, FL for the past 28 years. Mr. Tambling had been employed as an engineer by Teledyne Continental Motors before retiring in 1979. He was a member of Dr. Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church. Lowell was a former member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed golfing and bowling. Mr. Tambling married his first wife, Theresa Lipps, in 1941, and she preceded him in death in 1973. He then married the former Susan (Hulka) Wagner in 1977, and she survives him along with 2 daughters, Carole (Stephen) Caughey of Florida and Barbara (Jim) Haggerty of Jackson Hole, Wyoming; 2 step-children, David (Mary) Wagner of New Era and Susan Wagner of Whitehall; 3 grandsons, Robert (Sharon) and Paul (Selene) Caughey, both of N. Carolina and Dan (Lara) Haggerty of Wyoming, MI; 2 step-grandchildren, Greg and Anne Wagner; 3 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Waylon, and Mary-Lee Caughey and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Lyle Tambling. SERVICES will be 11AM Monday at Dr. Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Dennis Stroh officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS in Mr. Tambling’s name may be made to the Dr. Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church.
