Mr. Mike D. Rowe, Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Mike D. Rowe, Sr., age 54, passed away Monday, September 28, 2009 at his home. He was born in Muskegon on October 13, 1954 to Kenneth and Juanita (Weaver) Rowe and lived in the area most of his life. Mike owned A Best Hauling for over 20 years and had previously been employed by GMI Composites. He attended First Baptist Church. Mike was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved going up north to camp with the Cedar Ridge boys. He enjoyed rodeos, stock car races at Berlin and Winston Speedways and playing 3-card poker at the casino. On August 23, 1975, he married the former Sherry L. Anderson and she preceded him in death on February 14, 2005. He is survived by his 2 children, Michelle (Curtis) Crocker and Mike Rowe, Jr.; his girlfriend, Carol Check and 2 brothers, Marvin (Lois) Rowe and Lawrence “Charlie” Rowe. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 4PM Thursday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Dr. Rev. Bobby Cabot, DM officiating.
