Mr. Paul A. Gilbert's Obituary
Mr. Paul A. Gilbert, age 63, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at VNS Hospice House. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was wounded while serving in Vietnam. Paul retired from the Department of Corrections where he had been a corrections officer for 17 years. He leaves his loving wife Betty of 29 years; daughters, Sandi (John) Bordeaux and Sheryl (Rich) Chase; grandchildren, David (Christine) Bowen, Jeff Bowen, Melissa Bowen, Kevin Chase, Kyle Chase and sister-in-law, Phyllis McCann (Dave Matice). He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Green and mother-in-law, Penny Shue. Paul’s family invites everyone to join for a CELEBRATION Of HIS LIFE and MILITARY HONORS performed under the auspices of the Muskegon County Council at 3:00PM Friday at Egelston Township Hall. In lieu of flowers, MEMORIALS may be made to Mercy VNS Hospice.
