Mr. Raymond L. Bower's Obituary
Mr. Raymond Bower, age 73, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2008 at a local hospital. He was born in Weidman, MI on September 12, 1935 to Earl Sr. and Dollie (Sprague) Bower and had lived in Egelston Township since 1999. Mr. Bower was employed by the National Guard for 35 years before his retirement in 1990. He was an active member of Wolf Lake United Methodist Church and was the chaplain for the VFW Post #7729. On May 1, 1954, Ray married the former Mary Dilling and she survives him along with 4 sons, Raymond (Dixie) Bower, Jr. of Muskegon, Richard (Julie) Bower of Loveland, CO, Ronald Bower of Muskegon and Randall (Linda) Bower of Popularbluff, MO; 7 grandchildren, Kyle Kalchik, Hunter Knapp – “Grandpa’s Buddy”, Melissa (Jeremy) and Candace Bower, Alex Bower, Natashia and Damon Bower; and 3 great-grandchildren, Cody, AnnMarie and Colton. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Robert Bower and Earl Bower, Jr. SERVICES will be 11AM Wednesday at Wolf Lake UMC with Dr. Rev. Bobby Cabot officiating. VISITATION will be from 5-8PM Tuesday at
