Happy memories are the best memories. That's the only memories that I have from Uncle Dick. I remember being a young kid. Whenever we heard that he was coming for a visit, there was no calming us down. Of course, Uncle Dick would come over to visit Mom (his sister Caroline), but us kids always managed to monopolize a big chunk of his time. I remember the stories he would tell would be sooooo animated and we would laugh and laugh! One day I tried to trick him and gave him one of my children's cookbooks instead of a storybook (I was only 6 yrs old at the time). He made up stories from the pictures. Again, we laughed and laughed. Uncle Dick always had kind words no matter what was sent his way. I have always admired that about him.
Several years later, Uncle Dick has always been willing to help when asked. I really appreciate the fact that he has been able to help my Mother while she was going through some health issues.
I value a lot in knowing Uncle Dick as he has shown a love for creativity and very good use of optimism.
I cannot express my feelings very well, but I just wanted to share just a little of my memories.
Uncle Dick, I love you dearly and will think of you often. And, I'm glad that you are with Grandma. I do smile when I think of the two of you together.
Warm hugs to all of you reading this.
God Bless!
