Mr. Richard "Rip" Lowell Clawson's Obituary
Mr. Richard “Rip” Lowell Clawson, age 77, passed away Sunday evening, October 8, 2006. He was born in Muskegon on June 5, 1929 to Noel B. and Irene (McMahon) Clawson and was a life resident. Richard was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He served in Korea during the Korean War as a Jet Mechanic. Rip had been employed at SD Warren, Dell TV Shop, Lakeside Electric and was owner and operator of Clawson TV Repair before retiring in 1992. He enjoyed oil painting, playing piano, guitar, and especially singing. Rip sang in plays, at nursing homes and high rise apartments, and recently had formed The Clawson Trio, a group that sang old-time band music. On May 1, 1953, he married the former Jaclyn Williams in Muskegon, and she survives him along with his daughter, Deborah (William) Kingsley of Mt. Pleasant, MI; 1 brother, Gerald “Kelly” (Alice) Clawson; 1 sister, Norene (Al) Flickema; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Clawson, Jr; his parents; 2 brothers, Donald and Floyd Clawson and 1 sister, Millie Upson. A MEMORIAL SERCICE will be held 1PM Wednesday at
