Mr. Richard W. Chase, “Dick”, age 62, passed away Monday evening, October 3, 2005 in Muskegon. He was born October 4, 1942 to Walter and Josephine (Johnson) Chase in Muskegon, and was a life resident. He was employed by Felco Contractors for the past 8 years, and previously worked for 25 years at Reliable Truck and Crane. He belonged to the F.O.P. Lodge in Twin Lake, and was a member of the V.F.W. Post #446. On January 8, 1977 he married Vickie Priest in Muskegon. SURVIVORS include his wife Vickie of Twin Lake; 5 children, Vickie Grider, Kimberly Carrigan, Rich Chase, Jodi (Michael) Phipps, Patty (Don) Johnson; 16 grandchildren, Nathanyu, Keith, Jashawn, Jonathan, Sarah (Matt) Smith, Suzanne, Amanda, Amy, Emily, Kevin, Kyle, Kaleb, Paige, Ashley, D.J., and Caitlin; 2 great-grandchildren, Brynn, and special little buddy Kendall; 2 brothers, Steve (Sandy) Chase, Tom (Irina) Chase; 3 sisters, Cheryl Chase, Pam Ackerman, Shelia Gilbert; sister-in-law, Pat Chase; mother-in-law, Valaria Priest; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dixie Chase; brother, Paul Chase; parents; and father-in-law, Elvin Priest. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Friday at Fellowship Reformed Church with Rev. Ron Amos officiating. VISITATION will be 6-9 PM Thursday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave.(231) 726-5210.Burial will take place at Mona View Cemetery. MEMORIALS may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
