Mr. Robert J. Yost, Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Robert J. “Bobby” Yost, Jr., age 52, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 22, 2005 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He was born in Muskegon on January 29, 1953 to Robert and Marcil (Whitman) Yost, Sr., and was a life resident. He was employed for many years by Verizon. He was previously employed by Comtronics, and Vans Carwash while in high school. Mr. Yost had attended St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church, was a member of the Amateur Ham Radio Club and the Muskegon Area J.C.’s. Bobby will always be remembered for his deep fried turkey and corn roasts, and for his many talents, and willingness to share those talents in helping everyone. Since he was a boy, he loved electronics and enjoyed taking apart radios and putting them back together. Bobby enjoyed spending days at a time walking around various flea markets. He volunteered for lighting and sound projects at the Frauenthal, L.C. Walker Arena, and Showboat. He is SURVIVED by his mother, Winnie Yost; 6 siblings, Charlene (Paul) Tanner, Tom (Katie) Pruim, Debbie (Tom) Conzemius, Jim (JoAnne) Pruim, Brenda Pruim, and Dave (Judy) Pruim; 12 nieces and nephews, Eric, Chad, Brian, Leanne, Becky, Amanda, Scott, Robbie, Adam, Tim, Julie, and Todd; Special Friends, Harry, Bethelee, and Kori Gene Taylor; many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Roseanne Yost. The FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated 3PM Monday at St. Thomas Catholic Church (3252 E. Apple Ave.) with Rev. Fr. Phil Sliwinski presiding. VISITATION will be 2-4 and 6-8PM Sunday with a 7PM Scripture Service at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., 231-759-8565. Memorials in Bobby’s name can be made to The American Diabetes Association. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
