Mr. Robert William Heisser's Obituary
Mr. Robert William Heisser, age 81, passed away early Monday morning, June 21, 2005 in Muskegon. He was born on September 8, 1923 in Muskegon to William Henry and Alberdenda (Cramer) Heisser, and had been a life resident of the area. He was a graduate of Muskegon Heights High School, class of 1941 and was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church. Mr. Heisser was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was stationed at the Coast Artillery Corps Mine Flotilla in San Francisco, CA from 1943-1946. Robert was a patternmaker for 44 years; 15 years at Pyle Pattern Co., 29 years at Anderson Pattern Inc., from which he retired in 1985, and he served as the Patternmakers Union President for 17 years. He was a member of Merritt Lamb Post #9 American Legion and was the past Post Commander of the Merritt Lamb 40-8 #708. He was also a member of the Vikings Linne’ Lodge #57, Muskegon Heights Eagles #2106, Lakeside Eagles #3306, 20 year member of BPO Elks #274, Mona Lake Boat Club, and Pontaluna Golf Club. Robert loved to golf and bowl. On September 8, 1947, he married the former Cherie Turk, and she preceded him in death on June 3, 1991. He is SURVIVED by 2 daughters, Star Dianne (Joe) Grevious and Pamela Sue (Art) Olsen; 5 grandchildren, Joe (Rhonda) Grevious, Robert (Julie) Grevious, Bradley (Angela) Grevious, Wendy Marie (David) Bowen, and Robert A. Olsen; 10 Great Grandchildren, Justin, Taylor Renee, Douglas, Kaile, Abbe, Emily, Lucas Grevious, and Alyssa, Alexis, and Renee Bowen; a special nephew, Bryan (Sue) Carlson and niece, Amy Sowa. He is preceded in death by his wife; parents; 1 brother, James Russell Heisser in 1979; and special nephew, Pat Carlson. SERVICES will be 11AM Friday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., 231-759-8565, with Rev. Allan J. Engstrom officiating. VISITATION will be 10-11AM Friday.
