Mrs. Audrey Thompson's Obituary
Mrs. Audrey Thompson, age 73, passed away Friday, January 29, 2010 at her home. She was born in Muskegon on April 9, 1936 to Charles and Margaret (Gagnon) Beegle and was a life resident of the area. Audrey was a member of Fruitland Covenant Church and the Dalton Gang. She had been employed by Howmet Corporation before her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working on craft projects, shopping, and yard sales. On August 29, 1953, Audrey married Carl “Bud” Thompson and he preceded her in death on October 26, 1974. She is survived by 3 daughters, Terry (Frank) Ackerberg, Kay (Paul) Schuler and Dianna (Paul) Plank; 4 grandchildren, Jamie (Angela) Schoonfield, Adam (Sarah) Plank, Cacey (Adam) Miller and Christopher (Danielle Smith) Ackerberg; 2 great-grandchildren, Jeffery and Justin Schoonfield; 2 brothers, Monte (Madeline) Beegle and Butch (Kathy) Engelbertson; 5 sisters, Carol (Lester) Beals, Delores Strait, Sherry Engelbertson, Cathy (Wayne) Cory and Nancy (John) Tangney; many nieces, nephews, close friends and her cat, Emma. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister, Blanche Todd. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 11AM Tuesday at Fruitland Covenant Church (4283 N. Weber Rd.) with Rev. Brian Kyle officiating. VISITATION will be from 2-4 & 6-8PM Monday at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210. INTERMENT will be in Fruitland Township Cemetery. MEMORIALS in Audrey’s name may be made to Fruitland Covenant Church Building Fund.
