Mrs. Betty May Beecham's Obituary
Mrs. Betty May Beecham, age 85, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 27, 2009 in Muskegon. She was born in Derby, England on December 13, 1924 to John and Elsie (Mitchell) Baker and has resided in Muskegon since 1946. Mrs. Beecham enjoyed playing cards, especially poker, and spending time with her English friends. She was a member of the English Club and the Transatlantic Brides and Parents Association. On August 7, 1943, Betty married Robert Beecham in Derby, England and he preceded her in death in 1987. She is survived by 2 daughters, Leslie (David) Merrick and Gayle (Michael) Kreifeldt, both of Muskegon; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Rodney Beecham; her parents and 1 brother, Reginald Baker. A MEMORIAL VISITATION will be 2-4PM Sunday, January 17, 2010 at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565.
