Mrs. Beverly Jean "Bev" Hekkema's Obituary
Mrs. Beverly Jean “Bev” Hekkema, age 65, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011 in Muskegon. She was born in Muskegon on December 16, 1945 to Arvin and Margaret (Krukowski) Barber and was a life resident of the area. Bev had been a beautician at Peggy White and My Fair Lady and later was employed by Bennett Pump. She was a member of the VFW Post #446-Ladies Auxiliary. Bev loved to travel, fish, sew and spend time with her grandchildren. On May 8, 1993, she married Albert A. Hekkema and he survives her along with her children, Brenda Panozzo, Mark Panozzo and Katherine Baughman; 5 grandchildren, Courtney Beluzar, Caitlin Baughman, Chelsey Panozzo, Brody Panozzo, and Brandon Buchanan; 2 sisters and 1 brother. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 2:00PM Thursday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Rev. John Brown officiating. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS may be made to Harbor Hospice-Poppen Residence or to the VFW Post #446.
