Mrs. Capitola K. Dial's Obituary
Mrs. Capitola K. Dial, age 107, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2010 in Muskegon. She was born in Grand Traverse County on June 3, 1903 to Jacob and Eva (Moore) Brodrick and had lived in Muskegon most of her life. Mrs. Dial was a member of the Community of Christ Church. On July 17, 1947, Capitola married Lyman Dial and he preceded her in death on June 5, 1997. She is survived by 2 step-children, Peggy Dial and Stella (David) Dial-Snelling; 16 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 47 great-great grandchildren and 4 great-great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Capitola was preceded in death by 2 sons, Jack and Cyril Corpe; 1 daughter, Donna K. Cory; 2 step-daughters, Dixie Cranston and Laura Britton; 5 brothers and 7 sisters. SERVICES will be 2:00 PM Monday at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Elder Skip Hicks officiating. VISITATION will be from 3 – 5 PM Sunday and 1 hour prior to the service Monday. INTERMENT will be in East Dalton Oakhill Cemetery.
