Mrs. Dolores L. Young's Obituary
Mrs. Dolores L. “Nee Nee” Young, age 93, passed away Friday morning, December 4, 2009 in Muskegon. She was born in Traverse City, MI on July 28, 1916 to Frank Andrew and Cora Pearl (Johnson) Moran and had lived in the Muskegon area all of her life. Mrs. Young enjoyed sewing, knitting, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved very much. On October 24, 1936, Dolores married Frederick L. Young and he preceded her in death on March 1, 1997. She is survived by her son, Leon (Hermine) Young; 4 grandchildren, Chuck (Joanne) Young, Kathi (Mark) Love, Delores “Dee Dee” Owens and Leah Young; 12 great-grandchildren, Brittany, Jordan, Taylor, McKenzie, David, Joshua, Nicholas, Ashley, Jasmine, Ryan, Halley and Chelsea; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Braedon and Hannah and her sister, Jean Gordon. In addition to her husband, Dolores was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers, Robert, Harold and Lyle Moran. SERVICES will be 11AM Tuesday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 with Rev. Gerald Hagans officiating. VISITATION will be from 6-8PM Monday and 10-11AM Tuesday. INTERMENT will be in Laketon Township Cemetery. MEMORIALS in Mrs. Young’s name may be made to Brookhaven Medical Care Facility.
