Mrs. Dorothy Arlene Hultgren's Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Arlene Hultgren, age 81, passed away Sunday evening, January 11, 2009. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI on August 29, 1927 to Edward C. and Mildred L. (Lenox) Carlson. Arlene was very passionate about being a Registered Nurse, and continued to work as long as she was able. She began her nursing career in the OB Department at Muskegon Osteopathic Hospital and later went to work for Dr. James Jackson in Muskegon where she remained for over 48 years. She was an active member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Allegan. On August 9, 1953, Arlene married Leonard Hultgren, Jr. and he survives her along with her sister, Pauline (Bob) Manning; 2 sisters-in-law, Catherine Gordon and Erika Carlson; 2 nieces; 2 nephews and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Edward C. Carlson and Mildred L. Carlson-Jansen and her brother, Bruce Carlson. SERVICES will be 11AM Thursday at the Allegan Seventh-Day Adventist Church (229 Cutler St.) with Pastor Don Williams and Pastor Joshua Manning officiating. VISITATION will be from 2-4PM and 6-8PM Wednesday at
