Mrs. Elizabeth (Beckering) Lund's Obituary
Mrs. Elizabeth (Beckering) Lund, age 87, passed away Monday, May 16, 2011 at her home in Muskegon. She was born in Miami, FL on November 22, 1923 to Jessie and Hettie (Wright) Hawkins and had lived most of her life in the Muskegon and Tri-Cities area. Elizabeth had been employed as a receptionist for Action One Mobile Home Brokers before retiring in 1999. She was a hard worker, excellent cook, enjoyed knitting, cross stitch, gardening and ceramics. Most important, Elizabeth loved her family and was a great mother and grandmother. She is survived by her four daughters, Karen (Cornelius) Lach, Trudy Lutz, Barbara Beckering and Hedy Beckering; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Billie Jean Holman and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert H. Beckering; her second husband, Harold G. Lund; one great-granddaughter, Bonnie Jean Guiles and one sister, Voncile Stanley. A PRIVATE MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held. Elizabeth loved her cats and enjoyed rescuing them. Her family would like MEMORIALS in her memory to be made to Heaven Can Wait – Cat Rescue.
