Mrs. Francis L. "Bernice" Graves' Obituary
Mrs. Bernice Graves, 96, passed away Friday, January 1, 2010 in Holland, MI. Born March 11, 1913 in South Fulton, TN to Columbus and Alice (Rudicil) Killebrew, she had lived in Muskegon since 1941. Bernice married James H. Graves on Nov. 23, 1929 in Hickman, KY, and he died Oct. 12, 1997. She was a member of Sheridan Drive Baptist Church. Her SURVIVORS include her children: Mary Juanita Schei and Jerry T. Graves both of Swartz Creek, MI, and James A. Graves of Holland; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lucille King of Fulton, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband; son-in-law Frederick Schei; daughters-in-law Darlene (James) and Delane (Jerry) Graves; brothers Paul and Thomas Killebrew; and sisters Mary Hickman and Geneva Place. FUNERAL SERVICES for Mrs. Graves will begin 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at the Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442; 231-726-5210 with Pastor Stephen Rumley officiating and interment in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION with the family will be there from 6-8 P.M. Monday and 12 N to 1:00 P.M. Tuesday.
