Mrs. Gale E. Britzen's Obituary
Mrs. Gale E. Britzen, age 67, passed away Monday, May 30, 2011 in Muskegon with her two daughters by her side. She was born in Wyandotte, MI on June 18, 1943 and graduated from Schafer High School in Southgate, MI in 1961. Mrs. Britzen had been employed as a billing specialist by Hackley Hospital for 28 years before her retirement in 2008. She enjoyed shopping, reading and spending time with friends and family. She is survived by her two daughters, Kelley Jean (Richard) VanderForest of Batavia, IL and Pamela Sue (Ronald) Sage of Milford, MI; four grandchildren, Maxwell Ryan VanderForest, Samuel Taylor VanderForest, Mackenzie Elizabeth Sage and Jackson Forest Sage; her mother, Joyce LaBelle; one brother, Chris (Donna) Hunter; two sisters, Laura Hunter and Kim Ortner; her first husband, Truman Forest and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Richard James Britzen on August 19, 2004. SERVICES will be held at 2:00PM Saturday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100. VISITATION will be from 6-8PM Friday. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Heart Association.
