Mrs. Marian Michell's Obituary
Mrs. Marian Michell, 81, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 4, 2010, at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. Born January 24, 1929 in Muskegon Heights to Charles and Minnie (Shoemaker) Smith, she was a life resident of the Muskegon area. She married Donald E. Michell in 1955, in Muskegon. Mrs. Michell retired from the Michigan Employment Security Commission after working there more than 20 years, and was a member of Fruitport Christian Reformed Church. Over the years she enjoyed gardening and bird watching, and collected hearts and bells. Her SURVIVORS include her husband, Donald; two sisters: Millie (Art) Geissinger of Norton Shores and Barb Deephouse of Muskegon; nine nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. A sister, Katherine Zant, predeceased her. A private funeral service will be held for Mrs. Michell, and burial will be in Norton Cemetery.
