Mrs. Marjean E. Borgerding's Obituary
Mrs. Marjean E. Borgerding, age 82, went to be with her Lord, early Friday morning, July 22, 2005, at a local hospital. Marjean was born April 1,1923, to Henry and Margaret (Alger) DeWind. She married Elvie Victor Borgerding on June 12, 1945, in Muskegon, and he preceded her in death in 1999. Mrs Borgerding had worked as Executive Secretary for Christian Care Convalescent Home for 22 years prior to her retirement in 1998. Marjean was a founding member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church, and a former member of both Bluffton and Bethany Christian Reformed Churches. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, who loved family outings, especially going out to supper. Marjean is SURVIVED by her children, Anne (James) Harker, Ben Borgerding, Mary (Johnny) Alcorn, Janice (Mark) Gue, all of Muskegon; 9 grandchildren, George, David, Cara, Amy, Jennifer, Steve (Alana), Eric (Sarah), Mark, and Matthew; 5 great grandchildren, Amber, Kaylie, Cora, Richard, and Mark; a brother, Dr. Loren (Annette) DeWind of Downey, CA , sister, Lois Galema of Lafayette,IN; sister–in-law, Violet DeWind of Whitewater, WI.; a brother-in-law, Don VanReken of Holland, MI.; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Kay Schuitema and Beverly Cryderman. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lee “Vicki” Yedinak in 1994; her granddaughter, Karen Yedinak in 1969; her brother, Dr. Henry DeWind; sister, Elsa VanReken; and brother-in-law Joseph Galema. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11AM Monday at Calvin Christian Reformed Church (937 Norton Ave) with Pastor Ron Nyenhuis officiating. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the Christian Manor Activity Fund. INTERMENT in Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
