Mrs. Neoma A. Leitgeb's Obituary
Mrs. Neoma Alberta Leitgeb, age 90, passed away Friday night, September 11, 2009. She was born in Battle Creek, MI on March 30, 1919 to Winfield and Edith (Beatty) McDonald and had lived most of her life in Muskegon. Mrs. Leitgeb was co-owner of Leitgeb Hardware for 25 years before her retirement and had previously been employed at The Norge. She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church. Neoma loved to knit, crochet and was active in an exercise group for many years. On September 12, 1936, she married Anton “Tony” Leitgeb and he preceded her in death on December 31, 1988. She is survived by 1 son, Anthony J. (Diane) Leitgeb of North Muskegon; 2 daughters, Sandra (Herbert) Bassauer and Norma (Thomas) Hall, both of Norton Shores; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 6 nieces and 3 nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 1PM Friday at
