Mrs. Reta Rose Lorenz's Obituary
Mrs. Reta Rose Lorenz, age 72, passed away Tuesday evening, November 17, 2009 in Muskegon. She was born in Flint, MI on January 26, 1937 to John Edward and J. Margaret (Falconer) Musil and had lived in the Muskegon area her adult life. Mrs. Lorenz had been employed by Muskegon County Circuit Court Records before her retirement in 1991 and had previously been employed by Tuxbury Insurance Agency and Muskegon General Hospital. After her retirement, she volunteered for the Red Cross and worked part time for the Muskegon County Department of Veteran Affairs. She enjoyed deer hunting and traveling. On June 29, 1957 in Scottville, MI, Reta married Jack A. Lorenz and he preceded her in death on April 5, 1988. She is survived by 3 sons, Curtis A. Lorenz of Muskegon, Michael S. (Georgia A.) Lorenz of Grand Haven and Richard J. Lorenz of Muskegon; 1 daughter, Peggy Sue (Richard M.) Bayus of New Lenox, IL; 4 grandchildren, Brandy A., Nicole L., Ryan J., Jack M.; 1 sister, Judy Klei and 1 sister-in-law, Marsha Musil. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother, Richard J. Musil and 1 sister, Janet M. Kokx. SERVICES will be 2PM Saturday, November 21, 2009 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Rev. John Brown officiating. VISITATION will be from 5-8PM Friday.
