Mrs. Rose M. Savickas, age 83, passed away Tuesday morning, October 23, 2007 at her home. She was born August 27, 1924 to Frederick and Theresa (Bencsics) Dorner in Chicago, and lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. Rose wa Read Obituary

I was very saddened to hear of Rose's passing. I will never forget how wonderful she was when we were young and hung out at your home. I still use her Sour Cream cookie recipe and I will always remember her with fond memories.

What a wonderful neighbor you and Al were to us for over 13 years. Thanks for all the advice and help you gave me when our newly adopted baby daughter joined our family. You soon became known as "Grandma Rose and Pappa Al" to our girls. Not only were you wonderful grandparents to our girls, but wonderful neighbors and friends who were always there if we needed anything. I remember the times we shared celebrating the 4th of July and all those fun fire works with your grandchildren as well. Your great friendship and warm smile was always remembered even after we moved away. Sharing our Christmas wishes was a wonderful way to keep in touch as well. The pain and discomfort you will no longer have to endure for God has taken you to a far better place where you will be at peace forever. You will be missed by all but your warm smile and love for others will always be remembered. Our prayers go out to Al, Mary Jo and the rest of the family.
