Mrs. Sarah M. Wheeler's Obituary
Mrs. Sarah M. Wheeler, age 90, passed away Wednesday evening, March 23, at a local nursing home. She was born November 3, 1920 to Henry and Wilhelmina (Colyn) Teuling in Muskegon, and was a life resident. Mrs. Wheeler was employed as an L.P.N. at Hackley Hospital for 37 years, mostly working in Pediatrics, and retired in 1985. She was a member of Fifth Reformed Church where she belonged to the Women’s Guild and the Adult Bible Class. On March 30, 1957 Sarah married William Wheeler, and he preceded her in death on May 16, 1973. SURVIVORS include 1 nephew, Max Russell of Muskegon; several great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 1 brother and his wife, Jacob “Jack” and Sadie Teuling; nieces, Delores Russell and Bonnie Harris. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Monday at Fifth Reformed Church, with Rev. Paul Burmeister officiating. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. (231) 726-5210 will be from 2-5 PM Sunday afternoon.
