Mrs. Virginia L. King's Obituary
Mrs. Virginia L. King, age 87, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2006. She was born in Muskegon on February 17, 1918 to William F. and Ethel (Barringer) Veitenheimer. She was a resident of Muskegon and attended the Flint School for the Deaf until she was 17. She then moved to Miami, FL where she married and raised her family before moving back to Muskegon 25 years ago. She has been a resident of Heartland Knollview for the past 7 years. Mrs. King was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was an avid bowler, bingo player, and enjoyed life with always a winning smile. In 1939, she married Clinton C. King and he preceded her in death in 1978. She is survived by 2 sons, William (Gloria) King of FL and Robert (Bonnie) King of NC; 1 sister, Billie Leonard of Muskegon; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and dear friend, Lessie Monje. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 1 grandchild, and 1 sister, Nadyne D. Stone. A MEMORIAL MASS will be 10AM Thursday, February 23, 2006 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Ernest Bernot officiating. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service in the church foyer. INTERMENT will take place in Southern Memorial Gardens, Miami, FL.
