Mr. Thomas Patrick Cunningham, Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Thomas Patrick Cunningham, Sr., age 88, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in Muskegon. He was born in Buffalo, NY on July 26, 1923 to Thomas and Marie (Spang) Cunningham. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in WWII in the European Theatre. Mr. Cunningham returned from Europe, joined the Army Reserves, and then became employed by the United States Air Force as a Civil Service Engineer for 25 years before retiring in 1984. He was a member of Lake Harbor United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jean (Slacer) Cunningham; 3 children, Thomas P. (Elizabeth) Cunningham, Jr., Wendy (Lee) Shaw and Lynn Miller; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Jane Manning; special niece, Eleanor Miller; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Eunice Winter and Elizabeth Nellany. According to his wishes, no services or visitation will be held.
