Mr. William Kubicek's Obituary
Mr. William Kubicek, age 94, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011 in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon on February 12, 1917 to Paul and Christine (Koklish) Kubicek and was a life resident of the area. Bill had worked at The Norge for 24 years and then worked as a carpenter. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and enjoyed watching sports on TV and gardening. On March 5, 1937, he married the former Rose Stratil and she preceded him in death on June 16, 2006. He is survived by five children, Marilyn (Charles) DeWolf of North Muskegon, Larry (Julie) Kubicek of Ravenna, Jerry (Connie) Kubicek of Lakeland, FL, Kathy (Richard) Jennings of Muskegon and Sueanne Kubicek of Flagstaff, AZ; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren; one brother, Edward Kubicek; two sisters, Irene Schultz and Margaret Klemchen and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Charles and James Kubicek; two daughters, Carol Florence and Patricia Kubicek; his parents; three brothers and two sisters. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11:00AM Friday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Thomas J. Brown presiding. VISITATION will be from 5-8PM Thursday at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with the ROSARY prayed at 7:00PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. MEMORIALS may be made to Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence.
