Mr. William J. Puisis' Obituary
Mr. Bill Puisis, age 91, passed away May 3 at the Poppen Hospice Residence. He was born March 13, 1919 in Custer, MI to Katherine and Casimer Puisis. Bill worked as an electrician until his retirement, upon which time he moved to Mulberry, Florida and continued to work until he was 88 years old. In May, 2009, Bill moved back to Muskegon, MI and into the home he built to be with his family in his final years of life. He was a jack-of-all-trades--if he couldn't fix it, it couldn't be fixed. He loved playing his accordions and reading the Scriptures daily. Bill was a devout Jehovah's Witness and dedicated his life to His service. Preceding him in death were his wife, Lorna, daughter Veronica Enquist, and brothers Casimer, John and Dominic. Survivors include his children: Anthony (Marianne) Puisis, JoAnn (Richard) Mullinex, Susan Redmon, Timothy (Laura) Puisis, Mark (Timmy Sue) Puisis, Rebecca Stafford, Paul (Cheryl) Puisis, Matthew (Sandy) Puisis, Peter Puisis, and Melody (Eric) Brown; son-in-law, Charles Enquist; his sister, Veronica Heethuis; and too many more descendents to count. The FUNERAL SERVICE for Mr. Puisis will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 7, 2010 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses South Unit, 360 Eric Ave., Norton Shores with Eugene Alcorn officiating. VISITATION will be 6-8 P.M. Thursday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to Harbor Hospice.
