Mr. William R. Ackerberg's Obituary
Mr. William “Bill” Ackerberg, age 72, passed away Wednesday morning, October 22, 2008 at his home in Hesperia. He was born in Muskegon on August 22, 1936 to Willard and Edna (Kubon) Ackerberg. Bill was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of the Holton American Legion. He worked for Hodges and Anderson as an iron worker before becoming a self-employed builder. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and watching the birds at the feeders. He was also a craftsman and enjoyed restoring antique items, woodworking and painting. Bill married the former Patricia Dilts on Valentine’s Day, 1990 and she survives him along with 4 children, Deb (Don) Hurtibuse, Rhonda (John) Bowyer, Robin Brosco, Billy Ackerberg; 5 step-children, Jackie (Dan) Marshall, Brenda (Brian) Geib, Annette (Paul) Jensen, Teresa (Chuck) Morgan and Ken (Cindy) Ackerberg; many grandchildren and step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Don (Betty) Ackerberg and Jim Ackerberg; 2 sisters, Ruth Locke and Sandy (Joe) Drost; many nieces and nephews and his 2 special companions, Tiny II and Bootsie. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Delores and Betty Waite; 1 brother, Raymond Ackerberg and 1 step-son, David Ackerberg. SERVICES will be 11AM Saturday at
