Muriel F. Billingsley's Obituary
Muriel Faye (Deiters) Billingsley, age 88, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023, from complications after a fall. She was born May 25, 1934, in Worthington, MN, to Lutz and Mildred (Johnson) Deiters. At the age of 15, she moved to Muskegon and attended Muskegon Heights High School. It was there she met a handsome football player named Gerald W. “Jerry” Billingsley. They married October 3, 1951, in Angola, IN, and started their family shortly thereafter. Muriel had been a homemaker, a beautician, and worked in the Muskegon Public School system for 22 years, retiring from a secretarial position in the AD’s office. She loved gardening, golfing, remodeling, and college basketball. But more importantly, she loved her two boys, Jeff and Kevin. SURVIVORS include two daughters-in-law: Lisa Billingsley of Muskegon and Brooke (Bruce) Kinzer of Indianapolis; six grandchildren: Megan (John) Reelman, Colin (Julie) Billingsley, Ryan (Anna) Billingsley, Jordan (Ally) Billingsley, Molly Billingsley, and Sean (Erica) Billingsley; ten great-grandchildren: Jack, Cienna, Miah, Emma, Hollen, Mea, June, Eve, Sloane, and Kai; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, on December 11, 2021; two sons: Kevin Billingsley on December 12, 2019, and Jeff Billingsley on December 31, 2020; a sister-in-law and two brothers. According to her wishes, there will be no services. MEMORIALS to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.
